Brass Celestial Armillary Globe

This is a beautiful solid brass decorative antique reproduction of a Celestial Armillary Globe. This decorative reproduction of a celestial globe includes the names of the 12 astrological signs engraved into the globe in Arabic letters. The outside lid, which opens up half-way, is intricately engraved with the signs of the Zodiac and is printed with Arabic letters on the outer rim. The globe is made from solid brass, not brass-plated steel, and sits on three elegant legs. It has a rich antique patina which will not tarnish nor show fingerprints. The Celestial Armillary Globe measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter, 3 5/8 inches (9.2 cm) tall, and the center hollow globe sphere is 2 1/2 inches in diameter (6.35 cm). The Celestial Globe weighs 1 pound, 6 ounces (0.63 kg).
