A smooth, hand molded curved top shows off a meticulously handpainted lotus flower motif and soft blue crackled glaze detailed both outside and inside the box. Inspired by the jewel tones of the crystal coasts of Thailand, this blue celadon evokes nostalgia as this handmade production is still following the same techniques carried down from many generations. Starting from black clay excavated from the famous quarries of northern Thailand, each piece is hand molded and carved by skilled craftsmen using traditional techniques passed down from generations, making each one a unique piece. It is finished with food safe blue glazing and heating process to create the delicately cracked appearance on the surface that celadon is famous for. They are durable for everyday use but unique still as decorative pieces. This is part of the handpainted Lotus Flower collection.
