Novica Guro Rabbit African Decorative Broom

Salihu Ibrahim in Ghana presents this fascinating decorative broom, inspired by those used by the Guro peoples of the Ivory Coast as flyswatters. The sese wood handle is whimsically hand-carved to resemble a rabbit, right down to his long ears. Palm leaf petioles or stems are then secured to the handle using black cotton cloth.
